How to make a castle.
Was the idea of a castle, in my head before finding a large cardboard box and a discarded cardboard tube that had previously been used for dress material, or was it that actually finding these objects created a picture of a castle?
Either way, step by step, a wonderful castle appeared, almost magically the pieces were cut and rejoined, tubes became towers with coloured flags, brown cardboard looked like ancient castle walls, adorned with splendid banners and plain paper changed into old, heavy looking arched wooden doors, a portcullis was painted and a drawbridge that actually worked was made.
Portraits of a Knight and his Lady decorated the interior walls and the floor was covered with a splendid carpet.
